Grade Letters (Familiar Scale)
WAEC uses letter grades commonly discussed as A1 through F9 (higher letters = weaker performance). Exact cut-off marks for each grade are WAEC’s — don’t trust random “A1 starts at 80” charts without a WAEC source.
Aggregates (University Talk)
Universities often convert best grades into an aggregate for programme cut-offs. Core subjects + electives rules depend on the school and programme.
Always read the university’s admissions brochure for the year you’re applying.
